Learning a new skill is always so rewarding with a great sense of achievement.

For the half day class  you will be able to learn the basics from weighing up your clay, wedging, centering and pulling up the walls of your pots and using tools to create some beautiful bowls or cups.
I will demonstrate the process to you, after a hot drink and explanation of the stages your pot will go through. The rest of the time you will be on the wheel creating your masterpieces with lots of fun, help and guidance along the way.
If you are an improver and wish to tackle a particular shape then just let me know and I will tailor the teaching to you, to suit your needs. Your pots (up to 3) will then be dried, bisque fired and then glazed with a colour of your choice, which you choose at the end of the session whilst eating some homemade cake and admiring your beautiful pots!
Collection is normally 4-5 weeks later, an email will be sent to you when they are ready for collection from the box situated by the garage. There will be 4 spaces available per class so you might be sharing with other potters or you can book up all the spaces to share with friends if available.

£90 per person

But they are a multi-stage build so for this two stage class we will learn to throw mugs on the wheel on day one, then on day two you will alter the shape by learning to turn it on the wheel, carve or print a design if you wish and then either pull a handle, use the extruder or cut one from a slab. We will look at handle design and make a variety, offering them up to decide which best suits your mug then attach.
